SPACE Ibiza    - Playa D'en Bossa

Next to the beach, its bars, descending airplanes and Bora-Bora there is one more big reason to spend time at Playa d'en Bossa since 1988 - the Space. Originally a pure night-club, Space evolved into the most popular afterhour-club in the world. Nowadays, doors are open all day. However monday is restday but who really feels like partying there after the 22-hour blast "we love..." on sunday. The space is located right next to Aquamar waterpark and about 10 minutes away from Ibiza-City. Officially Ibiza's party-season begins and ends with space's opening- and closing-party. These mega-events are such a big issue for many people from all over the world to get on the island and party on 3 different areas. One area is opened just for these two occasions, the "DJ Mag Area", that is usually a place where young and talented DJs start there careers. Its lineup is pretty unique. Do you know any place where Erick Morillo, Steve Lawler, Tom Novy, Milk and Sugar... play their sets within only a few hours? On regular days, two area have opened. Inside music is played that is more or less dedicated to those who like trance and techhouse. In 2005 the legendary SPACE Terrace, which was covered by a camouflage-net and partially by straw that gave a little shade, was closed. But they built up a brand new Terrace with a durable roof and glaswalls! So SPACE has a new "Indoor-Terrace" which is setting a new standard of high quality locations on Ibiza! Best: The DJs play the same style of music as before, so you can listen and dance to the finest tribal-house you can find on the island. Since the Space is really close to Ibiza's airport while descending airplanes closely pass the deck and are enthusiastically yelled at. Sad but true prices at Space are just as high as at every other club in Ibiza. A small beer or water (0.33l) costs around 8-10€. Whoever feels like sipping on a Vodka-Redbull or something like that should be aware that such a drink easily costs 15€. Despite its awfull entrance-fee of something between 10 and 45€ going in is still worth it for there hardly any other place with such an excessive party-spirit - in a good way. So whenever you go on vacation to Ibiza, be sure to check the Space.
